Ozubulu massacre; the man behind the mass killings

Here is Bishop Ozubulu who single-handedly built the St. Philip's Catholic Church who the killers came in search of.

He is a well known drug baron based in South Africa and Ozubulu people say the drug feud has been on for about 3 years and some have been killed In South Africa.

Many believe the Church members may have been killed for accepting the drug money from baron.

He has a total of 3 churches he single-handedly built in Ozubulu. Sad that the church failed to do the basic thing. What a shame!

Terrorists invaded a Catholic Church in Ozubulu Anambra State Nigeria. Death toll reported to be over 50. Worshippers gunned down on Sunday.

The Ozubulu massacre is neither by IPOB or Herdsmen. An alleged inter-state and inter community squabble over a death in South Africa.

Only God can deliver our society from our self-inflicted destructive trend where it is now acceptable to relegate morality if not totally eliminating it in our doings.

Many years ago when my brother got a job in the bank, my dad's strong advice to him was to remember the son of whom he was meaning he should never be engaged in any act that could bring the family's name to disrepute. While I was still in school when my dad passed on, this was already ingrained in me that that was the only acceptable way to go.

If my brother had come home with any money that he couldn't have legitimately earned, I'm sure an alarmed would have been blown right from our home. No one could even fathom such.

We now live in a society where nobody cares about the source of wealth. We celebrate people for having unexplainable wealths. Worse still, the religious organisation that are supposed to be the harbinger of a moral state are the most guilty.

Pastors now accept tithes they quite know their congregants can't legitimately earn. A popular pastor even accepted a private jet from a banker who is also a pastor in his church and when the donor turned out to be a bank robber, the head pastor failed to return the contentious gift.

The killing today in Ozubulu should open our eyes more to this evil that the church is complicit of.

A 35 year old with questionable wealth built a 'church', named it after himself and then donated it to the Catholic Church. This is shameful to say the least that a church that is so established would not vet before accepting such gift. He even bought cars for the priest according to some reports.

Where are we going as a people?

And where are the parents of these bad guys?

Where is the Church hierarchy in all this?
