Christian Or Muslim? Presidency Clears The Air On The Religion Of The Fiance Of VP Osinbajo's Daughter

Laolu Akande, the Senior Special adviser on Media and Publicity to the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has finally addresses the controversy trailing Oludamilola Osinbanjo's fiance.

In a Twitter post on Valentine's day of 2018, Nigeria's Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, made an announcement on behalf of his himself and his wife that their daughter, Damilola is getting married to a young man, Oluseun Bakare.
 
"With joy and praise to the Lord, Dolly and I announce the betrothal of our daughter Oludamilola Osinbajo to Oluseun Bakare," he wrote on Twitter.
 
Ever since the VP made that post, mixed reactions and criticisms traile the VP’s daughter’s engagement as most of the comments made have been about religious differences of the couple.
 
The vice president's Senior Special adviser on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, took his Twitter page and cleared the air as he revealed some details about Oludamilola Osinbanjo's fiance.
 
The young man, Oluseun Bakare, who swept Damilola off her feet is, according to Akande, a member of the RCCG Abuja Central Parish and is also a teen church pastor.
 
He wrote: "In response to media inquiries, Oluseun Bakare to whom VP Osinbajo's first born & daughter Oludamilola would be marrying, is a member of the RCCG Abuja Central Parish and Teenage church pastor there. We wish the blessed couple bliss!."
