33 year old Kukat Kamartum from Riong’o village, Tiaty sub-county in Baringo, Uganda, has three wives who stay together in his dusty homestead which is also home for his over 100 sheep and goats.
During the World Contraceptive Day that took place on Sunday 27th September 2020, the Baringo man told media that he will continue fathering more children to increase his chances of becoming a rich man in future.
“If you have more children you become richer. If for instance, you have 10 girls then you will get at least 10 to 15 cows per girl, there are also four camels per girl, totaling to 40, that is wealth,” he said.
The amazing young man has trained most of his children how to look after the goats and sheep. His 3 wives said they were not aware of any family planning measures that would help control the number of kids they give birth to.
“We do not know about family planning. We have never heard about it,” said Kamartum’s first wife.
