If you’ve not heard our youths chant the above slogan, then you’re certainly not in town It means “money ritual is allowed”. Type “Oshole” into the search column on TikTok and behold the shock of a lifetime! Our teenagers have now taken the lead in the pursuit of money via spiritual means If we continue to recycle these corrupt, visionless set of leaders in 2023, be assured that the vices we’re seeing right now; banditry, Yahoo-Yahoo, Yahoo-Plus and human rituals for money are just a tip of the iceberg! Say what you wish, these vices are products of perpetual poor leadership. When a privileged few loot what is meant for the masses, the masses are forced to fend for themselves in ways that will likely hurt the society. Boko Haram, banditry, kidnappings that currently ravage our land is consequent upon a system that neglected the well-being of its citizens, while the political class feast on our vast resources. A system that awards oil blocks to individuals, one of which rakes in billions, sums far above what three states put together earn from the federation account monthly A system where a privileged few paralysed our refineries and left them comatose so they can regularly earn billions in the name of a fraudulent “subsidy”. A system where states owe civil servants salaries for months and pensioners die in quest of their pensions and gratuities, same impoverished parents that society expects to raise sane youths A system where you’re deemed and indeed treated as a “nobody” except you’re wealthy A system rich enough to make every Nigerian comfortable, yet the nation is designed as the poverty capital of the world. So, thousands travel out daily, relocating to less endowed nations, while a large number of those who remain cut whatever corners they can to stay alive! If we again collect peanuts from these Oppressors and vote them in 2023, we should all get set to see the blossoming of a new generation of Nigerians who will turn logic on its head and perpetuate evil in the open…the genesis of Armageddon!
