India ranks 76th on the global corruption list.
Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway are among the virtually corruption-free countries, while Afghanistan, North Korea and Somalia are at the bottom on the corruption-index list of 168 countries released by Berlin-based Transparency International.
The top 10 countries are Denmark, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Singapore, Canada and the US.
India’s rank has not charged since last year and it shares the position with six other countries – Brazil, Burkina Faso, Thailand, Tunisia and Zambia.
At 83, China is more corrupt than India. Pakistan ranks 117.
