The carcass of an unusual baby goat that has a feature of a human baby found in Johor, will be delivered to the Veterinary Department for study.
The baby goat was discovered by Felda settler Ibrahim Basir, who had refused any offers of money by people who are interested in buying the carcass of the highly unusual baby goat. Instead, the 63-year old farmer has decided to hand it to the department for further study and investigation, reported The Star.
Ibrahim had said that he was shocked when he first saw the baby goat, given birth by one of his goats and had features of a human baby. He was earlier informed by his business partner Jamaludin Abdul Samad, 50, at around 11am on Friday that some parts of the baby goat looked like a human infant.
“When I went to check, I was quite shocked but fascinated too as its face, nose, short legs and even the condition of its soft body seemed like a human baby, but the light brown fur covering its whole body resembles that of a goat,” he said yesterday.
Despite the human features, the baby goat did not have a umbilical cord.
The baby goat was already dead when he first found it, believed to be trampled by his mother or due to any complications. The body was kept in a polystyrene box filled with ice cubes, before sending it to the district veterinary office yesterday.
