The bullet-riddled body of a woman found near a bicycling trail in woods between the Tuscan cities of Lucca and Pisa on Tuesday in Italy has been identified as that of a Nigerian woman aged 46, police said Wednesday.
The victim, who was found by two young German tourists, was not named. An autopsy is being carried out to find traces of the killer, police said.
The body had five gunshot wounds, according to a police statement, which also speculated that the victim was a prostitute.
The body was found in a pine forest near Torre del Lago in Lucca province.
