A young mum who photographed her son in a washing machine and was filmed throwing him around a bouncy castle like a rag doll is being hunted by police.
Courtney Stewart was outed by the Daily Record in July over her treatment of two-and-a-half-year-old Caleb, who suffers from Down’s syndrome.
Stewart posted a photo of the toddler inside a washing machine on Facebook.
He could be seen through the glass door with an adult hand holding it shut.
Footage later emerged of her holding Caleb at shoulder height on a bouncy castle, throwing him face first onto the floor of the inflatable and then dragging him around by his ankles.
Last night officers were on the hunt for the 21-year-old after she failed to appear in court yesterday on a breach of the peace charge, the Record reported .
Stewart, of Erskine, Renfrewshire, had been due to appear at Paisley’s Justice of the Peace court for a pre-trial hearing over claims she behaved in a threatening or abusive manner in Ladyacres, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, on December 12 last year.
At a court hearing on July 8 she pleaded not guilty to the charge.
