Seth Rollins vs. Kane Announced for WWE Hell in a Cell 2015 PPV

The bad blood between Seth Rollins and Kane will spill over to Hell in a Cell.

Stephanie McMahon announced on Raw on Monday night Rollins will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against the Big Red Monster on Oct. 25. Should Rollins win, Kane will no longer serve as WWE's director of operations, per WWE:

On one hand, there's almost no reason for Kane to be involved in a main event feud in 2015. His in-ring skills have diminished quite a bit over the years, and the company has a wealth of young stars who would benefit from being inserted into the world title picture.

As WWE Creative Humor joked, Rollins vs. Kane isn't exactly the kind of match fans have been clamoring to see:

On the other hand, WWE is at least taking this storyline to its most absurd extreme and having some fun. Having "Corporate Kane" enter an ambulance with an injured ankle and then walk out as "Demon Kane" on last week's Raw was completely nonsensical in the best possible way:

With Survivor Series on the horizon, WWE might let this angle play out for one more month beyond Hell in a Cell no matter the result of the world title match. Perhaps Kane and Rollins could lead respective teams against one another in an elimination tag match.

While this rivalry has provided some entertaining moments, the sooner Rollins can move on to more interesting opponents, the better. Beating Kane does little to build him up as a world champion.
