The Nation - A Maze of Alleys, The People, the Change And What Must Change

As a preamble, as you get to see this, mister president should have returned from the ten-day leave of absence to facilitate his trip to Great Britain to treat his ear infirmity, rendering all of our trained ENT specialists not only redundant, but also second-class.

This goes without saying, that’s why he is the president, but the import of the lesson on the trip, is that we must begin to impact those facilities and infrastructures that abound, even in the remote places our leaders visit for their clinical and medicare to every local government and development councils in the land. It is a monumental task that must be done and that we all as a nation must not only be willing but also earnestly begin to work towards.

To PMB, of course, holidays, long or short, is a chance  to change of pace and fresh scenery are great battery chargers . One hopes Mr president has convalesce enough to resume duties and continue at the level and pace he let off.

A writer never has a vacation, for a writer, life consists of either writing or thinking about writing. As you read this prose, every plot in the script in the mired and maze of alleys in need of adequate and proper navigation,  varies in mood to engage every emotion, in this season of high wired drama, intrigues, retribution, and conspiracies all around . The loud silence of the NASS in all of these,  seem to stimulate a question. Does legislation start and end with appropriation, {owó ni kókó}, “money answereth all things.”

The endless list of questions begging for answers. The Niger Delta Avenge;MASSOB;MEND;the nation’s inflation rate continues to soar;the take home can no longer take people home;the long line of the unemployed and myriads of other teething and birthing problems begging for solutions, could not afford the luxury of this loud and menacing silence,from politicians who’s one sure way of telling when they aren’t telling the truth-their lips move.

The NASS that is somewhere amidst the labyrinth of malcontent, and that has so far been passive, subdued, docile and has found itself in the cauldron of a near-crisis , if it is to be taken seriously,  should by now be in search of a virile ,upstanding, and productive leadership, here productivity is essential to self-esteem .

Why the search,you may wont to ask,and I’ll say that for the current wingding, indeed, a wild party, to end, in a House that is in the throes and dilemma of asserting itself and its independence, and that continued to suffer under the influence of the silence aura of PMB, {he has feet;he’s running after the NASS, his hands lays hold of the NASS, that’s because integrity creates a sense of being and spiritual presence that forces a reaction in the hearts of men and women,ever noticed the effortless ease the budget’padding’ was detected.}

The NASS is changing by force,they are the very first victims of the Change era,with deranged core-values getting altered and adults learning how to do things their office require of them properly, although we still abuse decency by contravening extant laws of the federation,scoff rules and regulations and avoiding to be hung by the rules. The nation now rue,that,only a leader who has followed well, knows how to lead others well, and connecting with people becomes possible and easy because you have walked in their shoes .

One would shiver at the NASS call for immunity for its principal officers, and call it a compromise of integrity . Here the nation’s “husband” went round the bend again, demanding for the immunity clause to be smuggled into the body of the nation’s constitution. This attempt elicits a question, and that is, what Republic would you get if a Senate that flouts all extant laws and other known rules with impunity without the immunity clause, now have same embedded in the constitution. Haba!This Senate should for once stop being comical and naive,andget back to finding the means of navigating the maze of alleys the nation has become.

History has copious evidence of leaders,  who’ve never submitted to authority, and have shown that they tend to be proud,unreliable and autocratic. This happens when all you are interested in is your own agenda. Its a pity, how ‘success’ can ruin man and expose and reveal who he is all along. It does not destroy character, it exposes it.

This our Democracy and particularly in the 8th NASS has nurtured men’s public image while passing on a dark legacy and the labyrinthine complexities of party politics and a third-class substitute after a first-class blunder to the people. Now the sin the men loved and that the woman permitted has entangled the nation.
