President Bola Tinubu announced the appointment of new ministers on Wednesday.
DAILY POST brings you a brief profile of each of the new ministers introduced to Tinubu’s cabinet during the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting.
1. Bianca Odinakachukwu Olivia Odumegwu-Ojukwu, born on 5 August 1968, is a politician, diplomat, lawyer, businesswoman and beauty pageant titleholder.
She is the widow of former Biafra president, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. She is also a multiple international pageant titleholder, having won Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Miss Africa, and Miss Intercontinental.
She has worked as a former presidential advisor and was Nigeria’s ambassador to Ghana and Spain.
President Tinubu announced her as the new Minister of State, Foreign Affairs.
2. Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who currently serves as the Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, has now transitioned to the Minister of State for Works.
3. Dr Morufu Olatunji Alausa, who previously served as the Minister of State for Health, has now taken on the role of Minister of Education.
4. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, who previously served as the Minister of State for Police Affairs, has now taken on the role of Minister of Women Affairs.
5. Senator John Owan Enoh, who currently serves as the Minister of Sports Development, has now taken on the role of Minister of State for Trade and Investment (Industry).
6. Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite, who serves as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, has now been appointed as the new Minister of State for Finance.
7. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development, has been upgraded to Minister of Youth Development.
