It is not advisable to charge your phone on the bed while sleeping. This is because the phone can overheat and possibly burn your beddings; and inflict burns on the you. Especially keeping your phone on your chest while it's charging; and you are asleep. Based on some investigative studies, scientists discovered that some people who slept but didn't wake up was because they were electrocuted by their phones.

Studies have also revealed that phone radiations can cause cancer to the body.

 

Battery or Phone Overheats

Battery of smartphones can overheat; some can go as far as exploding. Due to the explosion there is a low probability of survival. Or if the individual does survive then his face; or parts of his body could be ravaged by wounds, scars, and burns.

Even while sleeping, ensure to never keep your phones on you. Especially over your chest; or around your neck because phones can overheat and cause burns to your body.

 

Cause Accident

Handling phones at the wrong place; and at the wrong time has caused many kinds of accidents. For instant, utilizing your smartphone while driving could distract you and result in a fatal accident. According to National Safety Council, "Cell phones are involved in 27% of car crashes. Cell phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year."

 

Charger Can Shock

Phone charger can shock an individual; and might possibly cause death. This is the reason why you should allow your phone to charge before making use of it. According to The Sun UK, " experts said if the charger or the circuit has a problem, such as a broken wire, it could lead to a fatal shock of 220 volts."

 

In A Bathtub While Plugged

Don't ever lay in your bathtub with your phone that is plugged to the wall. This is extremely dangerous and risky. They have been many cases where the charging point or the phone accidentally fell into the water. The person was instantly electrocuted to death.

Many individuals have been electrocuted by their phones because they refused to unplug the charger before receiving a phone call. No matter the importance of the call, ensure you unplug it before accepting any calls.
