An Australian Muslim cleric identified as Imam Tawhidi (@Imamofpeace), has taken to his Twitter page and shared his experience with a cyber criminal, also know as an internet fraudster.
According to him, a Nigerian tried to scam him of $1000 and when he tricked him, the scammer didn't respond to him again.
Here's how he shared the story on social media;
"Nigerian scammer sent me an Email saying he wants to send me $100,000,000 but I should first send him $1000. I told him to deduct the $1000 from the $100M and send me the rest. No response yet. "
The tweet got a lot of mixed reactions from people on social media. While some people found it hilarious, others considered it offensive for him to assume the nationality of the scammer when there were so many cases of people pretending to be Nigerians in order to taint the image of the country.
