African pastors ‘reaching for the heavens’ with their private jets

Though Africa is largely seen as the poorest continent, it is, however, home to quite a considerable number of multimillionaires and billionaires and collating a list of these “well-to-do” personalities can never be complete without including the “men of God”.

With some African pastors having tens of thousands of congregants flocking their churches every Sunday and even on weekdays for “consultations” and other special services, it comes as no surprise the jaw-dropping wealth they have amassed from offertories, tithes, donations, just to mention a few.

From mansions to luxury cars, to designer clothes and even private jets, some of these men of God are really out there living their best lives albeit not same for some of their followers which is rather unfortunate.

The Nigerian bishop and founder of the megachurch Faith Tabernacle is widely believed to be Africa’s richest preacher. As of last year, he owned four private jets including a Gulfstream V valued at $30 million, a Bombardier Challenger and two other Gulfstream planes.
