Nemesis on Tuesday caught up with three pastors; Segun Makanjuola, Bisi Akinleye, Bayo Adekunle and a herbalist; Ganiyu Olaiya, when men of the Ogun State Special Anti Robbery Squad, led by Officer-in-Charge, Tijani Muhammed, arrested them for allegedly kidnapping a United State-based Nigerian in the state.
Also arrested along with the gang were a 70-year-old woman, Monilola Lateef, her son, Modiu, and two others. The State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, while parading the suspects, told newsmen that the three pastors and one herbalist belong to a five-man gang of kidnappers, who had been terrorising residents of Ijebu area of the state. The police spokesperson said the three pastors and herbalist kidnapped their victim after tricking him with an offer of spiritual assistance for certain personal problems he was having and thereafter taking him into their hideout.
