According to reports, the female student was late, and the pastor summoned her out in front of the audience to flog her with a Sjambok, a popular South African weapon.

 

Diketso Matibidi, a pastor and educator, has been suspended after mercilessly flogging a female pupil for arriving late to a Sunday church session.

St Peter’s Combined Christian School in Mohlaletsi hamlet, Sekhukhune District, Limpopo, South Africa, hosted this event.

According to reports, the female student was late, and the pastor summoned her out in front of the audience to flog her with a Sjambok, a popular South African weapon.

The parents seeking justice allege the school denied it until other pupils came forward to confess the beating occurred.

Other parents are now requesting that the pastor be removed from the school and face disciplinary action.

Her parents are requesting therapy for their child, claiming that the harsh treatment has rendered her unable to concentrate in school.

The school has issued a statement claiming that a disciplinary hearing has been scheduled against the pastor, that the female student will be evaluated medically, and that the incident has been reported to the police.
