Don’t drag Nigeria into panic with prophesies of calamities – Rev. Paul Emeka

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church Nigeria, Rev. Paul Emeka, has urged his fellow clerics not to put or drag the nation into panic with prophesies or visions of calamities.
Emeka made the call during the ordination of 82 ministers at their Annual Prayer/Convocation in Enugu on Friday.

The general superintendent charged the ordained Ministers of God to live up to their new responsibilities, stressing that clerics only needed to pray against such calamitous prophesies or visions, or to let the persons involved directly know and apply measures against such.

It will be recalled that at the beginning of the new year, there were scary and saddening prophesies from different prophets, gearing the nation into perpetual fear of the unknown.

The cleric, in accordance with this, added that God had given clerics more responsibilities and instead of prophesying calamity upon a nation, they must pray against it, go and win souls for God and put Christ first in all their dealings.

He prayed for peace and progress of the country and asked God to take control of the church and the nation.
