Gateway United head coach, Festus Allen, has urged his players to maintain a strong winning mentality ahead of their next league game against Calabar Rovers.
The Abeokuta-based club defeated Sporting Lagos 2-1 in a Matchday 19 fixture at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, on Saturday.
Allen praised his players for their overall performance in the game.
“This team is showing real belief,” Allen stated after the match.
“We’ve developed a strong mentality, and this game was another example of how far we’ve come. Mubaraq deserves all the praise, but it was a full team effort.
“Now, we must stay grounded, keep working, and take this momentum into the next game.
“We’re building something strong here, and I’m confident this group of players can go far if they maintain this focus.”
Gateway United will lock horns with Calabar Rovers at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar next week.
