The All Progressives Congress, has saluted the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji over aggressive and committed mobilisation drives he has demonstrated to shore up the party’s support base.

The party gave the commendation, while capturing the governor on Saturday, during a high-profile stakeholders’ meeting held at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado Ekiti capital city.

The governor’s card was presented in the presence of other leaders of the party.

Speaking at the occasion, the coordinator of the nationwide e-registration programme in Ekiti State and Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Gold Adesola Adedayo, who led the technical team to register the governor, said the high spate at which the exercise moves and its receptiveness were made possible by Governor Oyebanji’s personal efforts to attract people into the party.

Adedayo posited that all the former governors in the state are now fully working for the APC owing to politics of inclusion that was berthed in Ekiti by Governor Oyebanji, saying this has endeared all the strata of the society to the party.

The commissioner appealed to party stakeholders to key into Governor Oyebanji’s politics that accommodates every intending member , describing this as an impetus that can bolster the party’s structures in the state.

Adedayo showered encomiums on the APC members in Ekiti and the populace for embracing the party, saying this vividly showed in the way at which the registration was proceeding across the 177 wards.

He added that the rate at which the new members are trooping into the party, as indicated in the new data capturing, further accentuated the fact that the APC remains the most acceptable and most popular party in the state.

“We salute the industry and leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji that has made the electronic registration exercise easier for us in Ekiti.

“New members are trooping into APC because they saw that excellent leadership and a new wave of politics of inclusion, where every stratum is relevant being berthed in Ekiti State by our governor.

“The governor’s aggressive drives are helping, but all the members must join the fray in mobilizing for the party. The essence of the exercise is to ascertain our numerical strength and support base, so that we can plan effective for future elections.”

In his response, Governor Oyebanji described the revalidation exercise as the most potent innovation that can fortify the party ahead of future elections.

The governor saluted the national leadership of the party under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwadta, for conceiving the political innovation that will sharpen the party’s winning streak.

Governor Oyebanji urged Ekiti people to register massively with the party, saying APC remains the reformative party, with magic wand to turn around the economic fortunes of the country.
