Human rights lawyer Barrister Victor Giwa has asked the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate the Commissioner of Police, Legal Services of the Nigeria Police, Chiozoba Oyakhire Ehiede, and Ms Asabe Waziri over an allegation of a frivolous charge filed against him and one other. The Super Eagles had their training session at the Hanwell Town Football Club training facility on Monday night ahead of their opening fixture at the Unity Cup invitational tournament against the Black Stars of Ghana. Twenty two players took part in the training session under the supervision of head coach Eric Chelle. Protesting students on Monday blocked the main entrance to the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State. The grouse of the protesters was that the institution had failed to issue them student identity cards. The peaceful protest saw students blocking the main entrance to the institution and thus preventing vehicles from having access to the school campus.
