A man is devastated over the death of his mother.
The man of China, was on the way to his mother’s home when he spotted an injured woman.
He drove by the woman without stopping to help her.
The man who was identified as Zhang of Wuhu City, Anhui, later discovered that the injured woman was his own mother, but by then it was too late to save her.
Zhang admitted that he saw the seriously injured old woman on the side of the road when he was on the way to his mother's house in Nanling.
When he arrived at his mother’s home, neighbors told Zhang that she left her home to go visit him. He immediately drove back in the direction he came from.
He then spotted the woman still laying on the road covered with blood. It was then that he realized that the injured woman was his mother.
She had been injured in an hit-and-run accident. Zhang called an ambulance, but she died on the way to a hospital.
Zhang said that he did not stop to help the woman because his car did not have a dashboard camera.
Sadly, many people have been sued or extorted for money by the people they helped. This trend has left many doubts about offering a hand in cases like these.
In February, an elderly man who fell on the street, was ignored by dozens of people until he was hit by a car.
People are demanding a “Good Samaritan Law,” which will protect good Samaritans who stop to help injured people.
