Reno Omokri, a former Presidential spokesperson, has stated that there is need for Nigerians to do away with culture of expensive burials for the dead.
Omokri in a video he shared on Instagram, recounted how Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah was buried in an unmarked grave even though he was one of the wealthiest men in the world at the time of his death.
The former Presidential spokesperson who also expressed his admiration for Islam, stated that the religion's belief of humans being equal at birth and in death should be copied.
He went on to say that he is not speaking from a place of jealousy following all that has happened in the last few days, but from a place of love as he is also successful. Omokri further noted that culture should be dynamic and not static.
