The the Fourth Annual Miss Igbo USA Beauty Pageant will be in the Washington D.C Metropolitan area this summer. This event will take place on Friday, June 19th, 2015at the Civic Building in Silver Spring, MD. According to the organiser of the event, “The purpose of this cultural exposition is to showcase our pride as a people, enhance the future of our children through emphasis on their heritage, and to share a display of our culture with the world. Rich in significance, the Miss Igbo USA has maintained a stance in empowering young Igbo women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent, intelligence, and devotion to their culture”. In view of the above, “We are reaching out to the prominent African business owners, entertainment gurus, promotional agencies, and fashion designers to garner assistance and support. We are in search of sponsors (both monetary and promotional-based) in order to assist us with our event. All sponsors will be given press badges as well as a 3-seat VIP allowance to our pageant”. Meanwhile, the following areas are needed to support the event: Sponsors, Videographers, Photographers, Caterers, Musical Performers, Dance Performers, Hair and Makeup Artists, Celebrity, Appearances/Endorsements The regular adult tickets will be on sale for $30, and VIP is available for $75. Student tickets will also be on sale for $25. A portion of the ticket sales will be used to provide the winner, 1st runner up, and 2nd runner up with scholarships as well as funding to assist the Miss Igbo USA pageant winner with making a platform a reality. |
