A Nigerian-Canadian Society Lady; Ms Olufunmilayo Olumade popularly known as; "Funmi" is The Managing Director of Iyameto Productions and The Chief Promoter of "Got Skill and Talent Show" will this Saturday June 22, 2019 in Toronto at Rexdale Community Hub commence the long awaited Traditional Board Games Competition called " Got Skill & Talent" Program. The central idea behind this program is to entrench African Cultural Heritage through tradditional games, arts and entertainment.
The Rexdale Community Hub as expected will be jampacked by spectators and competitors, this is the first of its kind in Canada. According to Ms. Olumade, " Based on my community experience, knowing what our people are missing both at home and abroad I believe that this program would be acceptable as it is unique, credible and creative''. She went further, "I went to Nigeria to do a research on what our Africans are missing in diaspora especially in America, Canada, London, Italy etc. before I embarked on the project"
"I initiated and organised the first, second and third Youth Talent Show for our Nigerian Youth when I was the the Vice President of the Yoruba Community Association few years ago" was her response when asked when she started nursing this idea.
According to Ms Olumade; She is highly resourceful and result-oriented, a good team player with strong negotiating, mediating and diplomacy skills together with proven ability to function productively within fast-paced environments, manage multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines" She continued; "As an event coordinator and Master of Ceremony for ceremonies which include but not limited to birthdays, traditional engagements, weddings etc. we are always everywhere to exhibit our traditional activities.
Ms Olumade is also 'Ajala" as she travels all over the world for his shows. She has been to different countries like America, London and Nigeria. She is also also called "kokoro" - insect because she is a skillful dancer and a dance leader, a comedian and an Actress. Ms. Funmi Olumade holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.
