A fast rising gospel artiste Comfort Adeyelu has identified, lack of fund and promoters among others as major challenges thwarting the dreams of many artistes.
According to the Ondo State born talented singer, many upcoming artistes would have made it to stardom, but for financial incapability and promoters are giving them setbacks.
Adeyelu, popularly known as “Jesus Princess” blessed with a sonorous voice, made this known while speaking with Friday Extravaganza in Akure.
While lamenting that most people prefer promoting secular songs, she appealed, that such individuals should endeavour to invest in gospel songs which according to her, would bring honour and glory to God as such songs preach salvation.
The Okitipupa born artiste admonished gospel artistes to always depend on God for success in their chosen career.
She stated that the tribulations in this world can be many, but that one with God is a majority.
“Whatever man is passing through in life, God is surely aware of it, and being on the Lord’s side, surely He will fight for you.
Narrating how she started her music Ministry, she said it has been the Lord’s doing.
“I started as a member of the children choir in my home town and later came to Akure to join a group, Youth of God’s Kingdom Evangelism unit where I received the mantle to lead songs.
“Though, I didn’t choose music as a career but I was called into the ministry by God and quickly discovered my purpose right from childhood”
She noted that she got inspired through the help of the Holy Spirit by what is happening around her and what she’s passing through.
“My aim is to sing God’s mind to the broken hearted who are lost in sin to come back to Christ,”she said.
She however, identified Bola Are, Bisi Alawiye Aluko, Evang. Niyi Adedokun as her role models.
