A woman who benefited from the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDs Relief is full of smiles after undergoing a remarkable transformation.
Folake before the transformation
A Nigerian woman has been saved following medical intervention by officials of the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDs Relief (PEPFAR).
The woman identified as Folake received antiretroviral (HIV) treatment at a CDC/IHVN-supported treatment site (NIMR, Lagos) that saved her life resulting in a remarkable transformation.
Folake after the wonderful transformation
Writing on its Twitter page, the U.S. Mission Nigeria while expressing delight over Folake's transformation wrote: "Folake is receiving HIV treatment at a CDC/IHVN-supported treatment site in Lagos under the PEPFAR program and also received support under the U.S. Ambassador’s Small Grants Program #WorldAIDSDay."
