A batch of killer cucumbers have made 285 people ill and killed an elderly woman.
The salad favourite has been recalled after it was blamed for a deadly strain of salmonella in America.
Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce of San Diego said the long fruit were grown in Mexico.
Half the people hit by the illness are children and teenagers.
The company told the Metro: "The safety and health of the consumers who buy our products have always been the highest priority for us.
"I bring our produce home to my family, that’s how much I believe in the produce we buy, ship and sell.
"We’ve invested millions to make sure our food safety systems are effective and up to date."
The cucumbers were sold in 22 US states.
