Sandra Castellanos was shot alongside her lover after they were caught having sex by the husband
A man has shot dead his wife and her lover after catching them having s*x.
According to The Sun, Juan Carlos Garcia, 42, is believed to have admitted to killing Sandra Castellanos, 39, and her boyfriend Noe Gomez, 35, at their family home in Atlantico, Colombia.
It was gathered that the man who is a security guard had suspected that his wife was having an affair while he was working night shifts and planned a trap to “catch her with her hands in the dough”, according to police.
He got home around 9pm on 4th of August and caught his wife having s*x with her lover. Garcia pulled the handgun on the couple while his three children slept. It has also been revealed that the security guard was tipped off about the wife's secret tryst by neighbours and pretended to go to work so he could catch Castellanos and Gomez in the act.
Garcia stayed at a friends house and called Castellanos at around 9pm to check on the children and burst into the family home moments later, catching the lovers in the act.
The woman's lover was also shot dead
He was later arrested in what police called a “horrific crime of passion” the Villa Maria area of Soledad.
But even though police say the man handed himself in and confessed to his crimes, he did not show remorse. He is believed to have told officers: “She was unfaithful and sullied my honour as a man. All I did was remove the woman who destroyed my life in this world.”
A police report said: “At 9.05pm Juan Carlos Garcia called his wife to ask about his three children, she answered the call and told him that they had gone to bed early because they had to leave for school.
“The suspect Juan Carlos Garcia found his wife making love with her lover. The husband was filled with anger and killed them both.
“He handed himself in to police and said that he did not feel sorry for what he had done.”
Police said Garcia had been remanded in custody and would face court hearings at a later date. They said the three children would attend their mother’s funeral and be cared for by relatives.
