A school principal was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly biting off her daughter's ear because she had sex with her boyfriend, police in Nigeria said.

Delta State police said that they have arrested 46-year-old Chiekube Igbinosa, after being accused of assaulting her daughter by stabbing with broken bottles.

According to the police investigation, the fight broke out after Igbinosa came home from school for lunch and found her daughter having sex with her boyfriend.

The daughter recently came home from college and did not have her own boyfriend. The school principal grabbed a glass bottle, broke it, and stabbed her daughter before biting off her ear.

The daughter was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The principal was charged with one count of assault and booked into jail.
