A man was arrested on a charge of adultery after allegedly being caught in bed with a newlywed woman, police in Nigeria said.
Borno State police said that they have arrested the 35-year-old man, who was not identified, after being accused of having sex with the bride of 28-year-old Bakolo Abdullahi.

According to the police investigation, Abdullahi called the police on Monday around 9:00 p.m., after coming home and finding his best friend sleeping with his wife.
Abdullahi told investigators that he and his wife got married last week, and when he came home, the door was locked. He knocked on the door, but his wife refused to open it.

Abdullahi forced his way into the house, and found his best friend getting dressed in the bedroom. Abdullahi punched his friend in the face before calling the police.
Police officers who arrived at the scene, arrested the friend.
During questioning, the friend admitted to investigators that he had an affair with the bride. He asked for forgiveness, promising that it will never happen again.
