A Dr. Phil guest named Sarah says she has been dating a man she met online for the last 17 months and is very much in love with him, but he’s asked her to send him a lot of money for things like bail (after he claims he was falsely accused of money laundering), and she worries it might be a scam.

Sarah says she has had two failed marriages, but still believes in love, so when a man named Chris Olsen started sending her romantic letters and talking on the phone with her for several hours a day, telling her he was in love with her, she fell for him.

Chris, who told her he’s a widower with two daughters, says he’s made five or six attempts to come to America to be with the woman he refers to as “my queen” but every time he tries to do that, he gets arrested and has to stay in Africa, where he’s traveling on business.

Sarah says she’s “95 percent certain that Chris is telling me the truth, that this is all legit … He assured me that when he gets home he’s going to pay me back every dime,” and has asked Dr. Phil to reunite her with Chris so the two can be together.
