Clothes, shoes, wigs, matchetes, and bags found in ritualists' dens

The Ogun State Police Command has uncovered a ritualists’ den in Iyana-Ilogbo in Sango-Ota area of the state.

The officers subsequently arrested two suspects identified as Babatunde Taofeek and Hammed Hassan.

It was gathered that policemen attached to Sango Police State, and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad team stormed the building, acting on a tip off from a member of the community, and arrested the two suspects.

The ritualists den was located within an abandoned Ayokunnu filling station, about 20 metres from the popular Iyana Ilogbo bus stop, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

Vanguard reports that inside the den were a decomposing body of a male victim, clothes, shoes, wigs, matchetes, and bags.

A resident hinted newsmen that two victims in the custody of the ritualists escaped from the building and an attempt by them (ritualists) to recapture them led to the discovery of the den.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the incident said the suspect will soon be charged to court.
