Nineteen year-old Amina, one of the kidnapped Chibok girls who was rescued earlier today has given details about the well-being of other girls who were kidnapped along with her by Boko Haram militants years ago.
After she was taken to Chibok, where she was identified by her parents, Amina reportedly said “all the girls are in Sambisa forest, but six of them had died," according to Premium Times.
She reportedly added that the remaining girls were “well secured and protected” to stop the Nigerian Army from rescuing them.
She was rescued at the fringes of Sambisa forest by a Chibok vigilante group.
There is however confusion about the name of the rescued Chibok girl. Channels identified her as Amina Ali, Premium Times called her Amin Nkek while the Nigerian army, in a statement said Falmata Mbalala was the rescued girl's name.
