Shehu Sani, Burning The Bridges, By Abdullahi Kasimu Abubakar

Dear Comrade Shehu Sani

It is been a while since we last communicated. I just have a piece of advice for you. Just one.

You need more than an education to know that it is a whole different trajectory between activism and politics. In politics, especially Nigerian kind of politics, you need to have a party to run for an elections. In this party system, there is party caucuses meeting where you are supposed to put forward your grievances, but it is awkward to say the least, to come out openly to vote against a policy of the party that provided you platform.

This impudence only suggest to me that you lack Private Sector Participation. For if you tried this in any reputable organization, you’ll get fired.

Senator Shehu Sani would always claim to be on the part of the masses, yet he takes home the jumbo salary and allowances of the Senate without suggesting a paycut.

Remember, Shehu Sani, you rode on the popularity of President Muhammadu Buhari to become the Senator. Calling out PMB, as though you are a more masses-person is what should be called hypocrisy.

Senator, you need to drop that activism badge for a moment and look inwards, that corruption you so detest is the very corruption you endorsed by looking away in the 8th National Assembly.

Here, is my two cents advice to you.

A poor Nigerian.
