DSS Parades 4 Suspects Who Allegedly Beheaded Two Undergraduates In Abia

Four suspected murderers, were on Friday paraded by the Department of State Security, DSS, in Abia state for their alleged connection with the murder of two undergraduates of the state University.

The Director of the DSS, in the state, K. S. Kamoju, who paraded the suspects at the state government house, said the suspects aged between 21-25 were members of Burkina Faso cult.

Kamoju said the suspects, Chikezie Macdonald, 22, Chukwuemeka Awom, 25, Chidozie Obi and Chigozie Francis Eberendu, 23, were arrested at various locations in the state including the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike and within the state capital.

Their arrest came after they allegedly beheaded two undergraduates of the state University, Uturu on March 11.

The Director said, “Macdonald aka Starboy, is a student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, and is said to be the leader of the cult group.

“Awom, is the son of a herbalist,” the Director said, adding that the attack occurred as a reprisal for the killing of late Collins Agu, a former leader of the Burkina Faso cult group in ABSU, by a rival cult group in the school.

It would be recalled that the deceased were butchered and beheaded in front of Pego 1 lodge in the school on the said date by armed men.

Reports had alleged that the killing was in retaliation to the murder of a final year Micro Biology student suspected to be a cultist.
