S*x Scandal: 7 Quick Steps Apostle Suleman Should Take to End the Saga

This comprises of the views of a seasoned media personnel on how the embattled vocal cleric, Apostle Suleman can walk out of the current murky waters.

Stephanie Otobo and Apostle Johnson Suleman

Nigerians woke up to the rude shock of an image-tarnishing news about Apostle Johnson Suleman's alleged amorous relationship with one Canada-based Nigerian singer, Stephanie Otobo on Monday, the 6th of March, 2017 and the despicable saga has been embarrassingly protracted.

It has been a dilly-dally affair between both parties as they flood the Nigerian media space with constant press statements that have put the founder of the Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide at the disadvantageous receiving end.

Media consultant and journalist who boasts of an enviable wealth experience in the media sector has suggested some basic steps to peacefully silence the free-speaking, Stephanie Otobo - a 23-year old lady with virtually nothing to lose and no good image to protect.

Read the salient points as provided below:

(1) Apostle Suleman should map out subterranean plans to make peace with Stephanie Otobo before she soils the internet with more daring and hard evidences to buttress her ear-blocking allegations against him.

(2) Apostle Suleman should cut a deal with the Keyamo Chambers to end the scandalous case. Worse cases with a higher magnitude in Nigeria have been buried. Realistically, most Nigerian lawyers don't want justice, they want opportunities, fame and more money. History reminds us that it was a celebrated case of the death of a former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, James Ajibola Ige in 2001 that ushered Festus Keyamo, SAN into limelight and opulence.

(3) Apostle Suleman should withdraw the case from the court of law except he is seeking for a ‘pyrrhic victory’. With my years of experience in journalism, I doubt if there is an option of victory for him as Miss Stephanie Otobo will provide their itinerary details as promised, more unclad pictures and videos, hotel arrangements, and the Keyamo Chambers could be right that more ladies have come forward to testify against the fiery cleric.

(4) Apostle Suleman should literally appease the 'gods' with Kola nuts. I am not talking about idolatry here. The beleaguered man of God with branches in 16 countries should grease the palms of Stephanie Otobo adequate greenback. She is indignant and ready to cause reputational damage which will affect Apostle Suleman's career, religious empire, family and financial base. Some millions of naira, yes I mean millions will make her switch tongues like a Mountain of Fire Ministries prayer warrior.

(5) Apostle Suleman should refrain from threatening New York-based media platform, Sahara Reporters and others with law suits. A mutual agreement with Omoyele Sowore, the founder of the investigative media firm who has been at the forefront of the propagation of the scandal could be reached if possible. A man of God should be in the Church and not in courts.

(6) Apostle Suleman should keep a low-profile for a while pending on when another controversy envelopes the Nigerian media space. Inciting statements against Ms. Otobo, religious issues, politics, targeted prophecies and others related to public affairs should be halted for now while he goes about his gospel activities within Nigeria and abroad.

(7) As a Christian, Apostle Suleman should seek the face of God through fasting and prayer. This cup should pass way; he mustn't drink from the cup. Even King David who committed adultery with Uriah's wife, Bathsheba and successfully plotted his death returned to the presence of God for direction and restitution as stated in the Holy Bible.

In conclusion, Apostle Suleman should take a cue from how oil mogul and the Chief Executive Officer of Forte Oil Plc - Femi Otedola overturned his purported s*x scandal with the Canadian escorts named Kiran and Jyoti Matharo who were Abuja-based sisters specialized in blackmailing their wealthy male clients.

The Cable news platform exclusively reported that a deal was struck with the police to release the international passports of the ladies to allow them leave the country quietly, drop the incriminating evidence and refrain from making any reference to any s*xual engagement with the billionaire in any manner.

So what happened next? The case slipped into coma and the general public moved on to other issues.

With the resurgence of social media and blogs, the worst thing that could happen to a prominent Nigerian is to be embroiled in any impropriety. The media system is uncontrolled and unregulated thereby giving way for fake and malicious reports to thrive.
