BREAKING!!! Military kill Boko Haram leader in Sambisa forest… More women rescued…

 

The Nigerian Military on Thursday said that it had killed several Boko Haram field commanders, destroyed nine terrorist camps and rescued more women in Sambisa forest.
The military also said that during the encounter with the insurgents in Sambisa forest, Borno State, one soldier lost his life while four others sustained injuries.
Also, a woman out of the others that were rescued died, while eight others sustained some bullet injuries.
‎The troops of 7 Division, Nigerian Army, also cleared several terrorists strong points and training camps within Sambisa forest. The troops have also rescued additional children.
During the encounter, the Nigerian troops also killed some Boko Haram foot soldiers and destroyed some ammunitions.
Some of the ammunition destroyed include two Armoured Personnel Carriers, two Buffalo vehicles mounted with anti-aircraft guns, a truck and several Hilux vehicles.
The troops also recovered one anti-aircraft gun, one General Purpose Machine Gun, one rocket-propelled grenade and several AK-47 rifles.
The Boko Haram camps destroyed by the troops were Wulari Bukar, Gangala, Anguwar Bakwai and Jigide. Others included Kotorima, Lagara Bello and Lagara Fulani, among others.
