A 34-year-old farmer, Ariyo Fadipe, has been caught red handed stealing items worth N500 million, belonging to former Ogun State governor, Mr Gbenga Daniel at the Golf Resort Hotel, Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta, Ogun.    

Fadipe burgled a building belonging to Daniel and stole 300 pieces of 32- inch plasma television sets and two coffee tables plated with gold.

Other items are: 40 pieces of 3-horsepower air conditioners, 30 pieces of B205 swivel chairs and 20 sets of C-63 bar tables.

According to the police, “the accused whose farm was close to the golf resort burgled the building where all the items were stored and was going there regularly to cart them away.

"The police, after a tip-off, traced and caught the accused in the act with four pieces of 32-inch plasma television sets,"

The Magistrate, Mr Babajide Ilo, granted Fadipe bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum .
