First lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has revealed that she suffered serious health challenges before the March 28 elections. 
    
According to PUNCH, she made the disclosure today during a farewell service organised in honour of herself and President Goodluck Jonathan by the Aso Villa Chapel.

She said the challenge was made a top secret in such a way that she would attend campaign rallies in the afternoon and sneak to Germany with the last flight in the evening. The first lady also revealed that she was supposed to go back for another surgery after the election but God healed her.

''I went through four different hospitals in Germany for the test and they returned a verdict that it was no longer necessary to do the surgery'', the first lady said.
