The Owo Community Association, Canada on Sunday, condemned the attack on the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State. According to reports many people lost their lives during this dastard attack on the Church. The Owo Community Association, Canada commiserate with the People of Owo, Ondo State, The Churches in Owo and the Olowo of Owo.
The President of the Association; Chief Alajawo was in tears while on phone. He spoke with The Publisher of Oasesnews; Mr. Michael Kehinde Abiodun (the former General Secretary of the Association). In a statement Chief Alajawo said the incident was uncalled for and should be condemned. He went further to say that the attack was a direct attack on the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu for championing the Amotekun Security Project in the state.
Chief Alajawo further mentioned that St. Francis Catholic Church is located just behind the Oba Market, a notable Hall and The Olowo of Owo Palace and assumed that it was a calculated attempt to instill fear in the minds of the citizens. He went further "this unprovoked attack and merciless killing of innocent citizens is satanic and should be condemned". He called the Federal, State and Local Governments to ensure that the culprits are apprehended and face the full wrath of the law.
He advised as a Security Personnel with years of experience that suspicious strangers not known to the community be reported to the proper channel. He prayed that "May the Souls of the departed ones Rest In Peace".
