Senator-elect Buruji Kashamu will not be arrested and extradited to the United states anytime soon.
PREMIUM TIMES reports that Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High court in Lagos has barred the Nigeria Police, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the State Security Service, and the Nigerian Customs Service from arresting and extraditing the Senate-elect.
Justice Abang said the agencies must comply with the letters of the Extradition Act if they must arrest or extradite the fugitive lawmaker-elect.
Kashamu had been under house arrest since Saturday morning when NDLEA operatives stormed his home.
