A Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday granted bail to embattled former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako his son, Abdul-Aziz and others arrested with him.
Nyako and his team were on Wednesday arrested by the EFCC over N29bn embezzlement while in office.
The bail was granted to the accused persons in the sum of N350m each, with each of the four accused persons required to produce at least one surety who must be a serving director in any Federal Government establishment.
The sureties to be produced must also have landed property in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, which the court ordered must be verified by the court bailiff.
The sureties are also expected to swear an affidavit of means.
In his verdict on Friday, Justice Evoh Chukwu, threw out the objection of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and ordered the accused persons to deposit their passport and other travel documents with the court registrar.
