A resident at Railway Road in Bauchi metropolis, Bauchi State has poisoned and killed an 11-year- old daughter of the Chief Imam of the Bauchi Central Mosque, Bala Baban Inna.
The Chief Imam of the Bauchi Central Mosque, Bala Baban Inna is currently in a state of mourning after a 30-year-old man named Jarelu Ahmed, resident at Railway Road in Bauchi metropolis, Bauchi State poisoned and killed his 11-year- old daughter, Hajara Ahmed.
According to reports, the culprit went ahead to bury her corpse in his room after committing the crime.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi State Command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, in a release made available to journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect has been arrested. The corpse of the teenager has been exhumed by forensic and taken away for postmorterm reports.

“On Monday, August 31 at about 18:00hrs, Police Detectives attached to Township Division arrested one Jarelu Ahmed, Male, (30) of Railway road Bauchi. “The Suspect allegedly poisoned one Hajara Ahmed, an 11-year-old daughter of one Bala Ahmed Baban Inna (Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque), killed and buried her in his room in order to conceal his atrocity. “The scene of the crime was visited by forensic experts attached to State Criminal Investigation Department and the victim body was exhumed, photographed and taken to ATBU Teaching Hospital for postmortem examination. The case is under investigation,”
