The Department of State Services DSS has confirmed the ‘compulsory retirement‘ of former deputy director, Marilyn Ogar and 44 other directors.
Ogar was told to leave the force yesterday via a retirement letter dispatched to her and several others by the new leadership of the agency on Wednesday September 2, 2015.
Reports say Ogar was sent packing as Musa Daura, new director of the agency decided he wants to reorganize the agency.
It was gathered that most of the axed officers are close friends of Ita Ekpeyong, former director general of the agency.
Ogar came under heavy attacks following her frequent involvement in political matters as her critics believed her actions portrayed the agency as a partisan government agency during the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
