The Department of State Services (DSS) has sacked Gordon Obua, former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan.
According to Premium Times, an investigative panel led by a former director of training, recommended the dismissal of the former CSO alongside Liman Widi, a personal assistant to the now sacked Director General of the service, Ita Ekpenyong, for corrupt practices and “playing partisan roles inimical to Service codes.”
The duo also allegedly engaged in illegal oil bunkering deals.
Security sources say Obua’s explanation on the alleged deal and other charges did not satisfy the investigative panel hence his recommendation for a dismissal.
Also fired were Abdullahi, Ibrahim Katsina, Larry Obiagwu, Abdulganiyu Dauda, Dahiru Dodo, Suleiman Dabo, among others.
