We welcome constructive criticisms and suggestions - El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has threatened to make life difficult for those who have grabbed school land in the state.

Addressing members of the state chapters of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), who staged a peaceful procession to Government House Kaduna in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti corruption war yesterday , El-Rufai said: ”We are going to make life uncomfortable for those that have grabbed school land.”

“I visited Rimi College (Kaduna) today to take a final look before we move in (to recover the school land).

“Anyone that has taken school land will lose it. But if he or she has Certificate of Occupancy and an approved building plan, we will compensate him or her. But we will take back school land, there is no going back. We are doing so because we care about the people.

”We don’t care about a few important people that want to steal school land, we will not forgive them, we will take back the land,” he said.

He said his administration welcomed constructive criticisms and suggestions, stressing that “anytime you think we are going in the wrong direction, tell us or any time you have any suggestion, you let us know. We will listen, we will take corrections, we are not perfect.”

“In our heart, Allah knows, we want to do the right thing. We want to make life easier for the people that live in Kaduna.

“We want to make life easier for the majority. We are not interested in pleasing a noisy minority. You can make all your noise. You can say Nasir El-Rufai has died, but I am here. You can say Nasir El-Rufai has collapsed, but if I collapse, there is a deputy who will continue to govern the state. We will not stop until we make Kaduna better by God’s grace” he said.
