Pastor who impregnated 20 church members; married women and young girls in court

MEN of the Enugu State Police Command have charged Pastor Timothy Ngwu of the Vineyard Ministry of the Holy Trinity with sexual assault after he impregnated more than 20 women in his church claiming he did so on the orders of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Ngwu, 53, the general overseer of the church is said to have impregnated both married women and young girls in his congregation, saying he was given divine instructions to do so. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ebere Amaraizu, a spokesman for the Enugu State Police Command, confirmed that the clergyman has been arrested for abusing his female members.

DSP Amaraizu said: “The pastor claims to be obeying prophetic/spiritual injunction to do the will of God, which is to impregnate any one chosen and revealed by the Holy Spirit, irrespective of whether the woman is married or not. When the woman is delivered of the baby, the child remains in the ministry with the mother for life.”

Apparently, Pastor Ngwu was reported to the police by his estranged wife, Veronica, who got tired of his lascivious behaviour after he impregnated her young niece. One of the clergyman's brothers added that he had been warning Pastor Ngwu about his behaviour for a long time but he refused to listen.

He added:  “Let me tell you, God’s anger has befallen my brother as we have appealed to him to stop what he was doing but he refused. He has colonised our compound, bearing children with recklessness.

"He accused us of being jealous of him because he is doing the will of God. He sacked his betrothed wife who has three children for him and embarked on impregnating married women and young girls."

According to the brother, their family compound is now littered with children of different sexes and ages. He questioned how an educated man of his status can reason like an unrefined man, also adding that the members of the vineyard are fools as he cannot fathom how a woman can abandon her husband for another man in the name of worshiping God.

Pastor Ngwu's brother pointed out that he wants the ministry to be shut down completely. Conforming that he was guilty of the offences he was charged with Pastor Ngwu said that he has approximately five wives with 13 children along with concubines, who he acquired by the prophetic will of God.
