Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu: KOGITES MUST UNITE

In an interview granted the Secretariat on burning issues in Kogi State, a woman with a deep sense of humor and the APC National Woman Leader, was furiously concerned about the on goings in Kogi State and its environs. She decided to commence the interview with her spectacular Voice of Wisdom “It is with a high sense of responsibility that I congratulate the teeming supporters of the APC and the good people of Kogi State on the emergence of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Governorship by-election in our dear state.  The APC has fulfilled its duty to put forward another candidate, now we must fulfill our own duty by voting massively to push him over the finishing line.”

She’s also wish to use this opportunity to call on all KOGITES, irrespective of Party allegiance, ethnic or religious considerations to come together for the attainment of the All-important task of rebuilding our beloved State. “I am therefore appealing to all other leaders and candidates of the party and the various interest groups to embrace unity in order to win the December 5 election.”

Dr. Ramatu emphasized unequivocally, that matters most at this time is the exigency of Purpose.

Dr. Ramatu a role model, peace maker, youth and women advocate, mass mobilizer reiterated “This is not time for our party to be talking about West, East or Central candidacy. We don’t have the luxury of time to start talking of Ebira, Yagba, Igala, Bassa, Kakanda or Yoruba candidates. God in his infinite understanding has bound us all in one good geography-Kogi and our major aspiration is the development of the state. When we talk about development, development knows no language, tribe or ethnic sentiment. Development is all encompassing.”

“As a people that are mindful of our own history, this is not the right time to bicker over the past. A family does not break her own creed. Ours is not a drive for power, but a pure intention for a change. The Power when it comes will not belong to Alh. Bello, or even the APC but it will belong to the people of Kogi state” The APC National Woman Leader thoughtfully said without missing words.

In a comparative analysis, while seeking indigenous recapitulation of activities in Kogi State, Dr. Ramatu made it clear “Don’t forget PDP has run our state without purpose for over one decade, and now, just now, is the right opportunity for us to liberate our people from the mystery of a leadership that is suffering from misdirected and scattered focus. The time is short, the hour is now, please, let us embrace peace and help re-build Kogi and make it the cynosure of all eyes in our great Nation-Nigeria.

According to Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, while pouring out her heartfelt desires for the embattled state, she was very emotional and remained courageous while passing these words " I trust reason will prevail over wrath, rationality will prevail over emotion and at the end of it all, we will jointly hold the trophy of liberty for Kogi state not as ethnic jingoists but national optimists “.

This interview came to an end as result other planned engagements, otherwise she has more than enough to say, for her benevolent love for KOGITES, the National Woman Leader compassionately concluded by saying: “I enjoin all women in the state to troop out on December 5 to vote for the APC candidate and liberate Kogi for Change and development.”
