Says: ‘If it’s rusted, I can’t be busted’

That O.J. Simpson, the star in the most celebrated court trial in the world has popped up in the news again over the same case is no news at all.

That O.J. Simpson, the star in the most celebrated court trial in the world does not give a damn about the whole show is!

Like the proverbial man who buried himself alone, the case, just like the man’s hand, has refused to go under.

Fresh evidence that O.J. might have killed ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman seems to have surfaced after all with some unearthed knife in Simpson’s yard but he doesn’t just care, or so it seems.

According to Sporting News , the knife will be examined for hair, fingerprints and eventually DNA and biological evidence.

A construction worker claims to have found a knife buried in Simpson’s yard during the demolition of his Rockingham home in 1998.

The unknown worker later turned the knife over to an LAPD officer who kept it instead of submitting it as evidence because he thought the murder case against Simpson — previously acquitted of killing ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman — was closed.

Now, nearly two decades later, the new evidence has surfaced, and Simpson, who is serving time on armed robbery and kidnapping charges, couldn’t care less.

“O.J. has a saying — ‘If the knife is rusted, I can’t be busted,’” retired prison guard Jeffrey Felix, a friend of Simpson’s and author of “Guarding the Juice,” told the New York Post.

“He thinks it’s a total joke,” Felix said. “O.J. is laughing about it. He’s on top of his game. He’s like Muhammad Ali.

“He says almost every construction worker carries one of those folding knives. Anyone could have dropped it.”

The knife will be examined for hair, fingerprints and eventually DNA and biological evidence, LAPD said. No administrative charges will be filed against the cop who kept the knife and is now retired.

Simpson went on trial in 1995 for the double homicide in 1994.

Because he was found not guilty, he cannot be retried for the murders, regardless of what forensics find on the knife.
