POLICE in Florida have arrested a couple for charging members of the public $100 each in exchange for golden tickets to heaven which guarantee them eternal life in paradise once they pass away.
In a bizarre scam, Tito and Amanda Watts, have been involved in selling these tickets with $99.99 to hundreds of members of the public. Available on the streets where the couple set up stall, the tickets made from solid gold and each one was said to reserve the buyer a spot in heaven once they present it at the gates.
Mr Watts said: "I don’t care what the police say. The tickets are solid gold and it was Jesus who gave them to me behind the KFC and said to sell them so I could get me some money to go to outer space.
"I met an alien named Stevie who said if I got the cash together he’d take me and my wife on his flying saucer to his planet that’s made entirely of drugs. You should arrest Jesus because he’s the one that gave me the golden tickets and said to sell them."
Amanda Watts added:" "We just wanted to leave earth and go to space and do drugs. I didn’t do anything as Tito sold the golden tickets to heaven and I just watched."
Insisting that his story was genuine, Mr Watts said he was willing to wear a wire and set Jesus up to confirm what he said was true. Police said they confiscated over $10,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia and a baby alligator from the couple.
